November is bringing a lot of changes to In the Pink!
Sallie Gipson from our Jacksonville Beach location will be leaving us on November 12th to go to work as an Administrative Assistant to the Minister of Outreach & Serve for her church, Palms Presbyterian. She will be missed tremendously around here, but know she is perfect for her new job! We wish her all the best. Luckily, she will only be three miles down the road!
All locations of In the Pink will also be closed on Saturday’s beginning November 7th. This will allow our employees to spend more time with their families, as well as maintain our facilities without interrupting services. As a medical facility, we have strict standards to live by, so hope everyone will be understanding.
FREE YOGA FOR CANCER PATIENTS CONTINUES ON WEDNESDAY MORNINGS AT 9AM AT THE JACKSONVILLE BEACH LOCATION. Please RSVP each week to info@jaxinthepink.net which sessions you will attend as a courtesy to our instructors. They donate their time.
FOR INFORMATION ON ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS WHERE FREE YOGA IS OFFERED TO CANCER PATIENTS, VISIT www.christinaphippsfoundation.com.
In the Pink sponsors dragon boat paddling for survivors and their families, as well as non-survivors. If you are interested in learning to paddle, join the Jacksonville Dragon Boat Club! We have teams for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. We also have one team, the Mammoglams, that is made up of all breast cancer survivors! This is a great way to have fun and exercise with other women who understand your journey. For all people interested in any team, call Marty Millard at 904-536-3475 or for more information, visit www.jacksonvilledragonboatclub.com. Stop by the new Jacksonville Dragon Boat Training Center at Beach Marine to see the new facility. It is in the building just east of Nipper’s Grille. Get bit by the dragon!
In the Pink will close all locations for Thanksgiving on November 26th & 27th to allow our staff to be with their families. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
