August is already here? Wow, time is flying by at In the Pink!
August 19th: In the Pink is proud to be hosting its very first Trulife Radiant Impressions scan event from 12:00pm-6pm. This event is by appointment only. Radiant Impressions is a custom breast prosthesis molded to fit each individual. Every detail of a woman’s breast is artfully sculpted for a one-of-a-kind custom, hand-crafted fit. Radiant Impressions begins with a plaster casting or scanning technology process, both of which capture all the details of a woman’s breast, chest wall and nipple. For more information, visit www.radiantimpressions.com. Most insurance companies reimburse or pay for this form, with the exception of Medicare. For our Medicare patients who want a Radiant Impressions form, payment plans are available. Just call In the Pink at 904-372-0029 to discuss options. In the Pink’s founder, Jeri Millard, is now certified to provide a Radiant Impressions fitting!
FREE YOGA classes for cancer patients is offered at In the Pink beaches location on Wednesday evening from 5-6pm and on Saturday mornings at 10am. Please RSVP if you want to attend, as a courtesy to our instructors, who volunteer their time. RSVP to sallie@jaxinthepink.net or call 904-372-0029.
REMINDER TO OUR CLIENTS: PLEASE MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MASTECTOMY BRA & PROSTHESIS FITTINGS. We want to be able to provide each client with as much time as needed to insure a proper fitting. This is a very personal process and requires at least an hour of our time. We like happy clients who feel good about their fit! Please call 904-372-0029 for an appointment at the beaches location or 904-396-5515 for an appointment at our Hill Breast Center location.
ARE YOU READY TO LEARN TO PADDLE IN A DRAGON BOAT? In the Pink sponsors several dragon boat teams. We have teams for everyone! One of our teams is the Mammoglams team, made up solely of breast cancer survivors. We also have several co-ed Saltwater Slayers teams, consisting of people of ages 14 years and up with a variety of fitness levels. Dragon boating is a great sport. Our teams are made up of positive-spirited, supportive people who are committed to introducing the sport of dragon boating to Jacksonville and the surrounding communities in an effort to provide a healthy way to exercise while surrounded by the beauty of our waterways. For more information, visit www.inthepinkdragonboats.com. You may also email Jeri Millard at jeri@jaxinthepink.net. We would love to have you join our teams! To RSVP to give it a try, visit www.meetup.com and put in the search perameters “within 5 miles of Jacksonville Beach.” Then find the Saltwater Slayers & Mammoglams teams and join our group (it’s free!).
