JULY 6TH: Join In the Pink’s dragon boat teams at Riverside Arts Market for RIVER RUCKUS from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. In the Pink’s teams will paddle in to RAM as part of the flotilla! Please join us for the fun! St. Johns Riverkeeper and the Riverside Arts Market are partnering to host “River Ruckus”, to raise a ruckus for the river. River Ruckus is an event aimed at showing Jacksonville that the St. Johns River is more than a scenic view. It is a recreational asset to this city that should be respected, protected, and enjoyed. The day’s events include a flotilla led by Expedition Florida 500, celebrity jump, live music, SweetWater Brewing Co. beer tastings, kids river crafts, plus all the great art, crafts, and produce that the Riverside Arts Market offers each Saturday under the Fuller Warren bridge. JULY 12TH: HEALTH & WELLNESS FOR WOMEN TOUCHED BY CANCER will begin at 10:00am. This series features six, 90-minute sessions facilitated by Judy Smith, LCSW and Clare Lavender, PhD, LMHC. Participants will learn about nutrition, green living, cancer prevention, healing meditation, creating balance in our lives, and food preparation for healthy eating. Join this empowering women’s health series by contacting Judy Smith at 216-287-2829. The fee for the six sessions is $75 total and will take place at 377 First Street in Atlantic Beach. JULY 13TH: Join us at the Landing to kick-off Jacksonville’s inaugural Dragon Boat Festival! The MAYOR of Jacksonville, Alvin Brown, will join In the Pink’s dragon boat teams for a paddling session in front of the Landing. The time is unconfirmed…stay tuned! We would love to have you there to help us celebrate this event that will come to Jacksonville on September 21st!!! Proceeds from the September event will benefit In the Pink.
